The value for money at this hostel was excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms and a fantastic location. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The menu for breakfast could have been more varied and offered more options.

Location is great, also its easy to reach other pubs and restaurants on foot. Friendly staff. Nice lounge / bar. What you can expect from a youth hostel.

Double bunk beds are very short and the gratings not really comfortable. High price for a "private room"

Stunning location in combination with useful staff. We found The Flock in Tearoom to dine in 500 metres from the hotel. We appreciated the fact that we chose yha borrowdale.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel near a beautiful river. The bar with the log fire and comfy couches added to the cozy atmosphere. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our visit. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to others. a great experience.

We got great value for our money at the Yha Borrowdale. The room was clean, cozy, and had a stunning view of the river. The location was idyllic, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast selection could have been better.

Located in a wonderful area surrounded by nature and close to a lovely river, this hostel in the Lake District is a perfect place to stay for a few days. the wooden pods and cabins are very comfortable with blankets and a BBQ, giving you a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery. the staff are welcoming and take care to ensure guests have a memorable stay. Breakfast is delicious. There is even a cafe onsite with chocolate chunk shortbread and good coffee.

The self-catering kitchen was a bit under-equipped for some guests.

Enjoyed my stay at this hostel, it was very clean and the staff was friendly. I liked the fact that it was situated in a beautiful location near the fells and had a river close by. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The self-catering kitchen was also well-equipped and spacious for cooking.

The Wi-Fi connection wasn't great and phone connections in the area were poor. The shared rooms were quite small which made moving around a bit difficult.

Gorgeous location in a remote setting, perfect for walkers and nature enthusiasts. the bar offers local beers and a cozy atmosphere for relaxation.

Private rooms are a bit overpriced compared to other accommodations in the area, especially when considering the extra cost for breakfast. the portions at the restaurant are on the smaller side, which may not be satisfying after a long day of hiking.

I had a fabulous stay at this hostel! The location in a beautiful valley was absolutely fantastic. The communal facilities were very good, with comfortable leather sofas and a roaring fire that were especially welcome after a long day of walking. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the reception, bar, dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers were all top-notch. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches by the staff, who clearly understand outdoor activities. The hostel had a lovely atmosphere, with a great mix of young families, older couples, mixed groups, and individuals. The availability of evening food was a bonus, and I highly recommend visiting the nearby Langstrath Country Inn.

We had a fantastic stay at this place nestled below the mountains. The location was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful footpath for outdoor adventures. The staff were friendly and approachable, making us feel right at home. The bar area was cozy, especially with the log fire and comfy sofas. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the beds were so comfortable. We also appreciated the laundry service, which was a great convenience. this place provided a luxurious and comfortable experience, surrounded by nature's beauty.

Booked a 4-bunk room with friends as we were tackling Scafell Pike. Great service, clean rooms, nice bar, ideal location for mountain walks. Friendly staff, passionate about hiking. Good facilities, ample free parking, and lovely grounds. Clean shower, well-maintained toilets, and tidy room. Enjoyed breakfast and delicious pizzas. Packed lunch for hike was reasonably priced. Homely atmosphere and scenic surroundings. Thumbs up!

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Great location for walking and exploring the stunning Lakeland scenery. The communal bar area is cosy and inviting. The self-catering kitchen is well-equipped. I had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hostel.

Enjoyed a great thanksgiving weekend at a hostel located in a beautiful area for those who love nature and adventure. the self-catering facilities were spacious and met all our needs. the hostel was warm, cozy, and had a bar to socialize. the fireplace added to the ambiance. the availability of hot showers was greatly appreciated. It was quiet at all times with no disturbance from fellow travelers.

The beds were not very comfortable, typical of a hostel. the food offered at dinner was not appetizing and tasted ready-made, out of the can.
